在我們的人生中，總有些事情讓我們感到遺憾及後悔，
無論是錯過了什麼人、事、物，想起來偶爾會懊悔萬分，雖不致於搥胸頓足，卻也叫人心裡失落。
而有些人，他們所選擇的人生是他們不曾後悔過的，或許沒有建立什麼豐功偉業，也沒有所謂的轟轟烈烈，
但他們卻能拍著胸脯告訴千萬的人說：『這是我不後悔的人生！』

我個人相當喜歡第一節，第一次聽到是在我去馬來西亞旅行的時候，跟幾位馬來西亞的大專生一起唱的，也是在這首詩歌發表沒多久之後。
第一次唱，我竟然就毫不為難地把第一節背下來了，沒有花太多的時間，歌詞和旋律就不自覺的朗朗上口。
或許是因為歌詞中的內容非常打動我，開頭就先問了一個很多對基督信仰不感興趣的人都會問的問題：
『為什麼要信耶穌？為什麼要把時間花在教會裡？』
而副歌便給出了答案：『因為看見了基督與召會的異象，徹底的估價之後才會願意付上相應的代價，因為知道沒有一物能與之相比。能有份於神在祂經綸裡的行動，將世界撇棄，活出一個沒有遺憾的人生』
聖經裡面有些人，他們願意至死忠信的跟隨耶穌，我想，也就是看見了同樣的價值吧。
