從祂肋旁流出來的水，表徵基督之死分賜生命的一面。我們今日信入了祂，我們的罪就被祂救贖的死除去，永遠的生命也藉祂的死分賜到我們裏面。祂的死乃是繁殖生命的死，叫生命得以擴增。
