這首詩歌寫的是聖經約翰福音二十章的故事。述說著一位抹大拉的婦人馬利亞，是如何的愛主耶穌。
耶穌在復活後，最先向馬利亞顯現，她什麼都沒有，主為什麼第一個來找她呢？因為她有一份最好的，那就是對主耶穌的愛。我們的主耶穌是愛的神，我們若熱切的尋祂，祂就要單單的向我們顯現。

He must ascend first to the Father
